It is quite practical and efficient to update many older changers with new, better bill acceptors. This can be done for higher denomination bill acceptance, or for better bill security against counterfeits or "stringing". We typically use MARS AE series and COINCO acceptors for these conversions because of their quality and ease of installation. However, other acceptors can be used, based on your needs. Kits are customized for each application and include step-by-step instructions, all mounting hardware, and decals for machine front. Some acceptor conversions require an INHIBIT KIT to properly function with existing machine coin dispensing systems.

Typical Conversion Examples:

MARS acceptor (with INHIBIT KIT) into Standard coin-tube type machine. This gives $1 and $5 acceptance with excellent bill security and "stringing" protection. MARS acceptor (with INHIBIT KIT) into Standard coin hopper machine with "tray-type" acceptor. This gives up to $20 acceptance with excellent bill security and "stringing" protection. MARS acceptor (with INHIBIT KIT) into Hamilton changers (tube-type or hopper). This gives $1 and $5 ability in tube-type machines, and up to $20 acceptance in hopper machines. MARS or COINCO acceptor (with INHIBIT KIT) into National machines where acceptor mounts on door. This gives up to $20 acceptance and good bill security and "stringing" protection. MARS or COINCO acceptor (with INHIBIT KIT) into Rowe BC1 changer. This will provide $1 and $5 acceptance for "new bills".
